Our featured coach is Coaching Campfire cricketing legend JP Duminy.

JP played nearly 50 Tests and 200 ODI's for South Africa. He was drafted by the Mumbai Indians for $1m for the first time in 2009, and went on to star in multiple IPL tournaments. JP is now the batting coach with the South African cricket team, as well as with a few franchises around the world.

Books I enjoyed

I'm wanting to become a better leader. I know this isn't a one-day game but a process of learning from my mistakes and just trying to be myself. These three books have helped a lot:

  • "Who moved my cheese" - gave me a great perspective on adaptability high-performance environments often involve complex problems with no easy solutions.

  • "5 levels of leadership" - I enjoyed this in-depth study of why people follow leaders - it helped me on my own journey to becoming a leader. True leadership extends beyond a title and is about influencing people in a positive direction. Advancing as a leader takes intentional effort to build relationships, drive results, and develop others (and yourself).

  • "A passion for position" - unpacking Godly leadership and a serving mentality
